Empowered for College Program Overview Topics

What is Empowered for College?

E4C is a transitional program for college bound students where we aim to help rising college freshmen be equipped to handle the unique social and emotional challenges college students face today.

After years of observing an increased struggle in the transition to college, we decided to create a program for students that is informative, preventative, and proactive. Our goal is to build awareness, encourage personal responsibility and maximize safety while educating students in multiple interpersonal arenas for success in college and beyond. By having these conversations ahead of time, we hope to empower students with the resources and tools to successfully navigate this next stage of life.

This five week course will be held in two hour session led by licensed professionals. It includes 10 hours of interactive instruction and incorporates several assessment tools that will provide direct feedback to participants regarding their social and emotional preparedness for the transition to college.

The curriculum was developed by professionals in the fields of mental health and education to make the transition to college more successful.
